It is HT compatible one of the things that really sold us on this TV when we bought it is that it has a built in DDR which is a digital video recorder like ____ and it also has a built in HT receiver where you would normally have to buy an addition HT box here we didn't have to buy any additional pieces. Which you _____ on money and not to mention the membership fee to ____ or whatever. Anyway we've really love this feature here is the recorded list that you get from the DDR it records your TV shows that you like to watch ___ to record new ones or any video on TV at all and then you just select it and play it. It also has a terrific built in TV guide to where you don't even need a cable lock from Cable Company to get a TV guide. Go to the menu plus TV guide and it's in the HT quality and LG has teamed up with TV guide to bring this to you if you were using a cable card which you get from your cable company this will miss all your available cable station. Since we do not have a cable card we do have a DDR cable box from our cable company all our channels are listed here but this is a great feature to have on your TV. And we really like it we couple of problems which we don't know if it was the cable card or if it was the TV itself and we haven' t have any problem since we switch from the cable card to the cable DDR box overall I would recommend this TV. It was a good price it's got really good features and LG is the only company that offers the built in DDR box into the TV where we bought it last Spring. Again this is the 42 inch LG LCD TV model number 42LB1DR.
