This is the Lacrosse PC 900 rechargeable battery charger. It charges Nickel - Cadmium and Nickel - metal hydride batteries and it charges either the AA or AAA size. What drew me to this particular charger aside from the good reviews was that it has a LCD display. And this display can tell you a bunch of different information including what the voltage is that's being used to charge your battery, how long the charge has been going on. And also like, for instance how much charge is actually in the battery. So in this it says 2.43 amps, 2.85 and then 15 -16 milliamps. So this tells you what the charge goes up to and a lot of times that's useful because sometimes your rechargeable batteries will start to drain and even though they say they're charged you don't know how much charge is in there, so that's really nice. The other thing that's really nice about this is that it has this thing called a refresh and what that does is it discharges and charges your battery in cycles until it gets a constant charge. And you know this is what a lot of people do to kind of bring new life into their batteries and if you don't have something like this then I guess you could do it manually. But this is really nice because it does it for you all automatically and what it does, allows you to do is take some of those rechargeable batteries that don't seem to hold charge anymore and maybe get some of that charge back. And going hand in hand with that as I was mentioning before was that the fact that you can tell how much charge is in here is helpful because after the refresh of the batteries then you can see whether or not it made a difference or not. And how much charge you have left and how close is it to the original. So I've been really happy with this. I've gotten a couple of my friends hooked on it and they love it. So I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a good charger for your rechargeable batteries. I got a really good deal on this okay. I paid I think around 30 a little bit more than $30. Right now there seems to be a shortage of them so they are running about $70 or $60. I think it will go back down. Just wait and be patient and you will be able to get a really good deal on this.
