Hi this is my review of the Linksys WAP54-G Wireless Access Point. This is a Wireless-G Access Point which means it's compatible with 802.11g as well as backwards compatible with 802.11b. It is just an access point which means what you do is plug it into your existing network with an Ethernet cable to get some power and you can use this either if you don't have a wireless router you can add the wireless capability to your network or else if you already do you can just use it to extend your wireless range however you wanna do it. It comes with a pretty simple to use Web interface for setting it up. You can assign an IP address to it do all the basic security features you would expect for a wireless access point. It supports both WPA and WEP encryption. Some other basic features you would expect like enabling or disabling broadcast of your SSID several other basic features but all around it's just really simple to set up easy to add to your existing network and I've never had any problems with it so I will recommend it. I'm a big fan of the Linksys brand and this is the WAP54-G is the model number. It's a Wireless-G access point.
