A great router which you can add antennas on and flash custom firmware.

    Transcript of Video Review

This is the Linksys WRT54G Version 4 Series Wireless Router. This is my third Linksys wireless router. Even though the last two completely burned up I still keep buying them just because it's the strongest router for cheap that I found versus some of the competition out there. This particular one comes with all the cables necessary to set it up. It comes with a CD that you can use to put software on your computer that's running the router. However I personally have never used the software itself so I don't exactly know what it would do for sure. The firmware on it is easy to use. It's easy to set up. Pretty much you just have to plug it in and it does everything on its own. You plug it in to your Internet and you plug your computers into the router. It's pretty pre-configured to handle whatever you're gonna do as far as cable modem or routing information goes. Of course nothing ever sets itself up so you gotta kinda figure out what else you want it to do along the way. But the bang for its buck it runs around $60.00 to $80.00. It's probably a little cheaper now since I bought it but of course the thing is worth every penny. You can change the firmware to do whatever you need it to do. It's open source now so you can get different firmware or specialized applications and all around if this one blows up I'll probably buy another one.
