This universal remote is a beautiful piece of electronics and very functional. It has a plethora of buttons and an excellent color touch screen LCD. Instead of programming the remote with a fat manual and thousands of codes you use your computer and an intuitive programming wizard. The LCD allows you to turn on all your devices with the press of a single button, and Smart State technology allows you to change between activities, such as watching HDTV to watching a DVD, by doing the same. All the codes and electronics are stored in a frequently updated online database, so even if you buy a new TV or a Blu-ray player in three years your won't need a new remote, just an internet connection and your remote is updated for the new device. And if a button doesn't work the Harmony One can learn them. This remote is not perfect though, but for the money it can't be beat.
