Small and handy little GPS with color screen. Easy to see in the daylight! Great price. Downside for us Mac users is OS compatability.

This is the Magellan Explorer 500 Handheld GPS System. I paid abut $120 for this. It cost about $120 to $180 depending on where you purchase it. You can purchase at most retail electronic stores or online. I really like this product. I've had it for approximately a year. It's good for geo cashing and driving. You can buy a car mount for it so you can use it as a car navigator as well. The only thing I don't like about it is the back of this. As you can see right here that's where the plug goes in the USB cord. You have to get aligned up just perfectly for it to work. Another thing I don't like about this is it's not Mac compatible. I am a big Mac user so I partition my hard drive and put Windows on it and it was kind of a pain in the butt. Otherwise like using it with Windows is wonderful. It comes with installation software and user manuals. You can also download or pur--you can purchase other software for it like topographic maps and whatnot. You can also websites for geo cashing if you wanna go find little treasures hidden about which is what I did and this is a great product. It's handheld as you can see I have small hands it's very small and it fits in your pocket. It's a great price. It's just had some flaws to it but on a scale of one to five I would rate it about a three and a half four.

Outfitted with a 16-color display, a high-speed USB data port, 8 MB of built-in maps, and an additional 8 MB of usable memory, the Magellan eXplorist 500 North America includes all the tools you need to navigate throughout the U.S. and Canada whether in the car or on foot. The device is rugged...
