Hey Expo it's Conner again. This time I have a review of Major League Baseball 2K6 by 2K Sports. It's the only Major League Baseball approved realistic baseball game out there. EA makes an NCAA baseball game as an alternative but if you want to play as the Red Sox the Yankees the Mets you got to buy MLB 2K. So here it is the game is loaded up. You just press start it loads a little profile. It's kind of weird that the game has profiles independent of your Xbox. You go right into playing baseball right away. It's going to be Red Sox versus White Sox. You go and you can change your lineups however you want. You can play franchise mode. It actually allows you to trade players and manage the finances of your team which is pretty cool. There is also GM career mode which is great. You pretend to be a GM and you can switch from team to team so you're not stuck with the team that you picked like you would be in franchise or owner mode. Here when the game's loading it gives you this little ESPN style introduction to the game. It tells you who's pitching who's playing key players and it's got real announcers which is pretty cool. You'll hear them throughout the game. Once this pops up you can skip it and so I'm going to do that. Of course when you skip that you just get another loading screen which is kind of dumb. I don't know why they're not put together and you can skip the whole thing. Anyway here we have the game and this game's going to take place in Fenway Park. You press A twice you time it correctly and you'll throw a perfect strike every time. Whichever button corresponds to the pitch that you want to throw to change up your ball and it depends on the pitcher. Every pitcher has a different setup. Here's a look at the graphics. There's Scott Podsednik really fast. If you like baseball this is a pretty good game but it's your only option so there's nothing else you can do. You have to play this if you want to play the Next Gen baseball game. Get one of the newer ones if you're going to get one. If you like baseball I recommend it but otherwise don't. It's not that much fun. It's just a game. You have to like the sport that you're playing in order to like the game fully. So MLB 2K6 I recommend it. Probably around $10 used at GameStop. Shop around and you'll find it for much cheaper probably on EBay. So I recommend you buy it if you like baseball. Thanks.

Major League Baseball 2K6 offers a true-to-life experience for every pitch, hit, catch and throw -- it's true baseball, from the moment you step onto the diamond. Incredibly realistic controls combine with the ability to build your players' skills and attributes, to deliver an immersive ball...
