I'm going to display for you today one of my favorite products that I've ever purchased, which is the Microsoft Fingerprint Keyboard. It's one of the most useful items I've ever purchased for my computer. Here's the keyboard here in all of its glory. -- I'm going to start off by showing you all the useful buttons on the top of the keyboard. 00:00:25 We have one of my favorite functions here, which is just to have the volume on the keyboard. It's much more easier to control the volume here rather than going through the volume maybe on eh -- Taskbar. Here's some buttons that you can use to control movies playing on your computer right from your keyboard. These buttons up here can be assigned to any programs that you have on your computer. 00:00:47 So with an easy click of a button on your keyboard you can have easy access to any program you want. The buttons here are the usual My Documents, My Pictures and My Music tab easy access to all of those as well you have the mail, the Internet and the Messenger buttons too. 00:01:08 And so those are all the buttons you have here and -- the button on the left here is the Calculator button, which can be very useful and as well you have a Logoff and Sleep button. The Sleep button can be configured to shut off your computer as well. So that's the basic all of the buttons that we have here on the keyboard. 00:01:29 I've left my favorite feature from this keyboard for last, which is the Fingerprint Reader. And all you do is you stick any finger you have on to the Reader -- and on the welcome screen it automatically logs you in. Now, a lot of people are skeptical about these Fingerprint Readers and I can tell you from my experiences that probably 95% of the time the Fingerprint Reader works like a charm. 00:01:58 It never takes other people's fingerprints. It only takes the fingerprints that I have recorded into it. Eh -- if your hand is cold, maybe you were holding a cold drink or something, or if you just recently washed your hands so there's water on it, in those incidences it will have trouble recognizing it. But other than that it's worked pretty much flawlessly for me. 00:02:21 Now there has been one deficiency with this feature and that if your computer locks rather than just going back to the welcome screen, it does not work when an individual has locked the computer even if it's you that has locked the computer and you're just trying to log back into it. 00:02:41 So you have to make sure that your Windows XP goes back to the log -- to the welcome screen if you want to be able to log back into your computer. One other thing this package includes is the Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse, which is perfect for people either left-handed or right-handed and plus it comes with a scrolling up and down and scrolling left to right. 00:03:05 So that's a very useful mouse and very comfortable. There's one other thing that I wanted to mention about the keyboard, and that is that the keyboard is wired. Even though the mouse is wireless, the keyboard still has a wire going to the computer. I imagine that's because it has to have the power to control the Fingerprint Reader, so that although the mouse is wireless, the keyboard is not. 00:03:30 But other than that it is a great product. I got mine off of Amazon when it was 50 bucks. I think it's now $66, but it's a great product and I would highly recommend it.
