Hi everybody I'm going to do a review on this digital camera that I recently purchased for a trip to Mexico. I wanted something that was going to give me some decent pictures that would be easy to use that doesn't cost a fortune. So I ended up choosing the Nikon Coolpix. This is the model number L18 and I've been really happy with it so far. I've had it for maybe three or four months now. One of the things I like about this camera is that it's got a big LCD screen back here so you can easily see what you're going to take a photograph of. Also another neat feature is this menu where you can choose based on what environment you're taking your photo in. There's the beach setting or snow a party indoor night portraits sports landscape portrait etc. So you just click on whichever one of those is most appropriate. Say I'm at my kids' soccer game then I would just choose the sports option and click on that. Then it will automatically put your settings to the appropriate thing and you can click. The sports feature actually did work really well; I have used it at some games and it's really nice for taking action shots. Easy to use you just click the button up on top here. The power switch is up here as well. It's an 8-megapixel camera so it's got a nice clear print when you print them out. It also has up here on this button you can choose your mode of use. There's a movie mode so I like that it has that feature in it as well. You don't have to have two cameras. You can just take a nice digital film on your smart card which I'll show you where that is. This is the only thing that I don't really like about the camera. It takes two AA batteries and the smart card is also stored in this compartment which is a little inconvenient just because you know you got to poke down in there to get your card out and sometimes batteries might fall out. Not a big deal. But if I would have to come up with a complaint about the camera that would be it. Otherwise I've been really happy with the camera. I like that it's got a wrist strap. I like that it's nice and compact it's not too fat or too large. You can easily take it in your purse or even you know you've got some nice pockets in your pants you can just put it in there. So I've been really happy with it. We definitely recommend it for someone who wants an easy "just click and you got a decent photograph" inexpensive camera. It's the Nikon Coolpix L18.
