Hi this is my review for the Nikon D40 camera digital camera. This is a really nice camera if you're just planning to get out of the "point and shoot" cameras and get into SLR. It's really good; it has a lot of things to help you learn what all the SLR stuff is and all the SLR settings. It's a lot more complex than a regular little camera where you know you just turn it on auto mode most of the time and start taking pictures. This does have an auto setting though. So if you don't want to mess around with a bunch of stuff because you don't know how yet you can just easily use it. To turn the camera on you just flip this little switch and it comes on. It tells you a bunch of different stuff about the settings and what not. It has a flash which props up like that. Of course it comes with the lens which is just the 18 to 55 millimeter lens. So you can't get a lot of zoom out of this; just basic zoom. If you want anything that's going to be able to zoom in really far you're going to have to get a different lens. I really like this camera. I think it takes good pictures. I'm not totally happy with how it takes pictures in low light. But at the same time I don't really know what I'm doing with it yet so there might be things that I need to adjust there you know that I still don't know how to adjust. The lenses auto-focus which I do like because sometimes when there's a lot of action going on I don't like having to stop and struggle to get to focus. I like it to just to be able to focus automatically for me. I like this big screen at the back. I think it's 2.5 inches so you can really see your pictures well on that screen. Yeah you do really good quality pictures with this when you have good lighting. Like professional quality I think. It's a really fine camera. I enjoy having it. I think it's definitely the camera you want to get if you want to start in SLR. Thanks for watching.
