Right now we'll be reviewing the Plantronics DSP-400 headsets. This is a portable USB headset that is foldable. See it folds up into this. It is USB, which means that you can plug it into almost any computer. It has its own sound processors in place, which is 24-bit. Many computers right still now only have a 16-bit sound card and with this it sounds a lot better. One of the drawbacks of this is that the software that -- Plantronics offers is very buggy. Sometimes it doesn't install; sometimes it doesn't work properly. However, this headset is very good. The sound is superb is the microphone. They are good for gaming. These actually do pretty well; there is a great directional sense. And I found these to be pretty durable despite many peoples' complaints of Plantronics good quality. I've used these for a couple of years now. I've used them, abused them, and they are still holding up pretty fine, except for the pads I'm not wearing now, which is normal under these conditions. I would highly recommend this if you need a portable headset for traveling and to go along with your laptop perhaps.
