Hey everyone I'm here to review the Plantronics DSP 500 headset. Here it is. It is a USB headset, so it'll work with just about any Windows PC. It has its own audio processor in line here. So, the DSP stands for digital sound processing, right. It has a 24 bit sound processor, which is a higher level of quality. Not a lot of sound cards integrated into computers today have 24-bit encoding; so that's nice. They're comfortable to wear even for hours on end. I've done some very long gaming sessions on these, with these headsets and they're superb; the sound quality is great. They're better from, for gaming. For music -- not so good. But I would generally recommend these for gaming or you know, just you know, recording your voice, for voip. I Skype with it and I've been told the quality is really good, much better than you know cheap $20 headsets. These do retail for around $50. But in my opinion they're very much worth it. When you're in a game getting the full 5.1 encoding from the game, it converts that into this stereo signal, but it does it in a way that's smart. So you're getting, it's mixing down into stereo sound, but it is very directional. You know I can tell when someone's behind me and to the right, you know, as opposed to they're in front of me and off to the left. They're very great headphones, head for that -- the mike sounds just as good. It's adjustable, they're comfortable to wear; what more do you want in a headset? So once again that's the Plantronics DSP 500. Definitely go pick these up if you need a headset.
