... on a ProForm Recumbent Bicycle called an SR30. This is actually a pretty nice recumbent bicycle. One of the things that I do like about it is it does count the calories. It will tell you your speed different modes for it. It does check your you can keep track of your heart rate by grabbing on here and it will tell you your heart rate or read it through your hands while you ride. One thing that this recumbent bike does not have though is a magnetic resistance adjustment which I would prefer. That s one thing that I didn t really know when I bought that. I didn t know to look for it but this is a mechanical cable for the resistance and I had ridden some that have the magnetic resistance and I would recommend if it s not too much more money to go ahead with that because I don t know the mechanical ones just don t feel as smooth and as fluid as the magnetic ones so I would highly recommend going with that. Other than that this bike has been a good bike. I do like the recumbent bike. It is easier on my back. I have a little bit of a history with back problems and the upright bikes sometimes seem to bother my back a little bit. This recumbent style definitely helps that out and this has been a pretty good bike. It s well made a very solid build. Like I said the probably only negative thing I would have to say about it is the mechanical tension and I think I prefer the magnetic resistance on the tension to change that. But other than that I ve been very happy with this. I think it s a good piece of exercise equipment very very solid to me and I really don t feel like it s going to wear out anytime soon... so for shorter people or people with longer legs not a problem. It's a little bit tough to adjust. I don t have too much of a problem with it. My wife and my kids have used it. They ve complained a few times about the adjustment procedure on it so this maybe not the easiest thing to adjust in the world but still it s pretty nice. It s got some good handhelds on the side. You can really put your back up firm against the backrest. It feels really good if you want some back support while you re riding so I really like that about it. It s made by ProForm. We got it at Dick s Sporting Goods and I think we paid about $299 for it and I would say it s probably one of the better pieces of exercise equipment that I ve bought very solidly made and I m really happy with it. I d have to give it out of five stars I think I d probably give it a four. I probably would have given it five if it had the magnetic resistance on it instead of the mechanical but I think I would give it four stars.
