It records it can record VHS tapes to DVD blanks or it did pick dub back from DVD blanks to VHS tape. This is really a wonderful machine. It is a multi format machine which means that you can use any format DVDs such as DVD minus DVD plus or rewritable DVDs in here to record with. And what is really great about this is if you have some most everybody has some old VHS tapes and most people I don't know if you know that but what happens to VHS tapes is that over a period of time VHS tapes are recorded with magnetic particles. Those particles tend to degrade over a period of time and that is where the images starts getting weak their appearance when you are to play them. Now what the good thing about the technology it is called into a DVD is that when you record into a DVD even through your VHS tapes first of all it gives a little bump in the appearance of the picture of whatever you have recorded. It makes a little sharper a little brighter and it preserves it for a much much longer time. Most people the estimations are they are guessing 2 to 300 years that a DVD can with a hold this information they will be degrading but nobody really knows for sure. One thing I would like to show you is clip that I recorded from VHS tape and then put it to a DVD tape when you are [inaudible] [0:01:44.1] and see if that get to come on and here it is. Now don't judge is too close because I've seen a very very clear sharp crisp LCD monitors screen here. The camera is probably not producing as clearly as crystals as I see it. The colors are very vivid. Everything looks great on here. So this is just kind of a little clip to show what it can do from VHS tape to DVD where you really impersonate it looks really really great. Let me shut that off down here. So as I said you can use the multi format DVD disc. Now another really nice feature of this machine too is that it can record in what it is called duo layers DVDs. Some of you might not know about this but for you that don't what that is that is like a double kind of recording your tape ability to record and this machine does it. If you use a dual disc layer DVD in here you can record up to I think the normal maximum is about 8.6 gigabytes of information. Translating that into a real time it is approximately 14 hours of recording comment at a real time on a dual layer disc. Another thing that this machine has it has this called anytime plus technology which enables you to hook up your cable boxes machine and you control the cable box change channels and need to do with it and control the menu and controls the machine all through one remote which is very very nice feature. Now I am a professional videographer and I use this machine and my other editing to edit many DVDs that I make and then I put them in here and I transfer them into [inaudible] [0:03:37.4] to a DVD and play it from here. And to see what my father disc and I would recommend this machine very highly because first of all the price the consumer price it ranges anywhere from about $99.00 up to $200.00 depending on where you are shopping for it. You can find some really good bargains if you look on mall. So I would highly recommend this for a consumer and product and for any person that would like to take the VHS tapes and transfer them to DVD if you like a preservation of your tapes or if you just wanna make some DVD just put them in VHS or put them back and forth. You can also use this machine as regular player. You can play your VHS tapes here or you can play your DVDs or CDs if you wanna hear some music.
