Nice picture quality if you are saving to DVD, but if saving to Memory card, the video and picture quality are terrible! See some examples included. If you have a digital camera with a good video feature, I suggest sticking with it!

Hi I wanna tell you today about my Samsung SC-DC 164 mini DVD camcorder. This camcorder has 33 times optical zoom 1200 digital zoom it's pretty easy to know again it has the flip out 2.7-inch LCD that's swings some pivots. It's the main feature here is really easy to navigate. Here's where you plug in your USB port to your computer in the adaptor. It also has a 4 in 1 memory card slot and on this side is where you access the DVD with this little side lever. Now it burns on these small disks which on the best setting it only you only get about 20-30 minutes per disk which is good coz that's about how long the battery lasts. I thought this would be a really good investments for well my husband was away so we could make little DVD for the kids to mail to him will be a little easier. I'm a little disappointed in it it takes about the same quality of video that this canon power shot which is what I'm filming this on tape. Let me show you some of the film now it's saved on DVD (video playing). The picture quality really isn't that great and especially when you try this save it on the memory card then it's just an absolute terrible picture. This is on the finest quality on saved on to the memory stick (video playing). So if you use your memory card to save your videos that can't really pixelate it as you can see these photos were taken and sent to the mirror stick on this camcorder and these photos were taken on the same day same scenery same lighting with a Kodak digital camera. So overall I'd say if you want a nice little camcorder if you need a new gadget it's good but if you have a digital camera with the video feature like this one that you're happy with I suggest stay with that rather than switching to a DV camcorder it's really not that much hassle to transfer it from a digital camera to a DVD to make it worth the money for me.
