Hello I'm gonna do a review for you today of a camcorder. This is the Samsung Camcorder and its model number SC-DC173U. And this is a camcorder that actually tapes two discs. Let me show you the disc. This is the disc that I used. It is a Maxwell DVD-R and it's the mini DVDs that it tapes two. Let me turn this one on for you. And then when you turn it on this little button right here is kind like a little toggle switch. You have your off your on and then your mode. And if you put it in the mode section what's gonna happen I don't know if you can see that or not but your little lights is gonna go from either playback or record. Each time that you kinda switch the mode there that's how you toggle back between actually playing back once you've taped and what actually recording some data on there. But then some little toggle switch for that. This is your battery compartment here. And as you can see before I'd show you the battery compartment. This is your LCD screen. It's a 2.7-inch wide LCD screen. It had an LCD enhancer on it and it has multilanguage display. And it is a swivel you can swivel it back and forth. All in the actual LCD here on the left hand side here you also has a menu buttons that you can use right here instead of using your toggle back here. You can do play and record and you can also do zoom in and zoom out here or volume. They worked the same way as your other controls do. It just supposed to handier for you to have it right here on the LCD screen. Up here on the top you got your zoom and your volume and then you also have your photo detects photos with it. Over here by your toggle switch that I've showed you earlier you've got disc and cord. It also runs on an ST cord or runs on the disc that I showed you either one. If you choose to use the ST cord on the bottom of the DVD it has a little slot here. This lodger ST cord in there. And then here on this side there is a lot for gadgets to this camcorder. You have quick menu. And then you have fade and you also have stop right and left on there. It does have a light you can shoot your video with a lights and the disk removal button is up here in the top. And you basically just kind of push down on that. And the disk window will just open right up here for you. And then you just release your disc. And that's the disk there that you're going record onto. Shut it back up and you can hear a kind of winding up in there. Like I was showing you earlier this is your battery back here and on the bottom you had your battery release. It's kind of a one-touch release. Press down and the battery just kind of slide thread out slide through the end. This particular DVD the way that you charge your battery you don't actually have to take your battery out and put it into a separate charger. It came with cables like must have been there your USB. But the one thing that I found is different with this one than the one that I'm used to using is that your AC adopter. It plugs right into your camcorder. It doesn't go end where the battery usually seats in your camcorder. So you don't leave your battery in all the time. It's just that when your camcorder has powered off it's going to be charging up your battery. And of course when your camcorders power on then it's gonna be utilizing the AC adopter. I would think that this particular camcorder I would probably give it a 2 And that's I believe only because I'm used to the tapes the minitapes. I'm just not quite used to navigating through the mini-DVDs that this one uses. But all in all it does really did a fairly well. One of problems that I found with it is that I can't seem to get it to actually stabilized the video footage that I'm shooting quite well and I could be just to use your ear. But it seems like that when I'm doing some video footage it wants to kinda blurry and blurry out. I'm not quite sure how to get it to stop doing that. But it is the Samsung camcorder and I would probably give it a I don't know 2
