Pros: sound great, comfortable
Cons: bulky, headband can crack

These headphones sound great and are quite comfortable. Their large size, though, makes them a bit unwieldy for portable use.

Hi there today I'm going to be reviewing the Sennheiser HD-280 Pro headphones which I am wearing to demonstrate. So the first thing that you'll probably want to notice is these are rather large headphones. In my opinion they look a little bit goofy especially this part that kind of sticks out here. So they're not the most fashionable headphones but they do sound really good. So I use them at home mainly although I did take them traveling with me for a couple of years. What's great about them is that they fold up like this which makes them smaller or they fold flat. So with that I was able to you know you can take them on airplanes. They really do a good job of blocking out all outside sound especially when you have music on because of the over the ear design. There's the of course the adjustable headband which is good. But one thing to keep in mind I've read online that the headbands crack on a lot of these. You know I've seen mine starting to crack a little bit. It's small but I've had them for almost five years now. But I guess maybe that's one weakness of the headphones. The sound is really good. If you're looking for a pair of sort of a step up from your first headphones this would be a good pair. They usually run you about $75 to $100; I think it's worth it. They have this stretchy type of cord which is handy so you can stretch out. They come with the normal 3.5 plug and also an adaptor if you're going to plug into one like that it just screws on. So I think these are good solid workhorse headphones. They sound really good; they really take you off into your own world. So you know they do have their minuses like the large size and possibly the headband cracking. But overall they're good headphones and you know they look all right.
