Hi I'm Melissa and today I'm reviewing the Senseo single-cup coffee maker. This is the HD7810 model. There's a whole different model so they're ranging from the basic which is what I have to the Super Deluxe which has a lot more options and it's lot fancier. This one comes in four colors. It comes in black red blue... I'm not sure about the fourth color but I know it comes in those three. It has a lot of features on it and the easiest way for me to show you all the features is just demonstrate it for you. Basically you start out with this reservoir in the back and this reservoir has three different lines on it - four ounce eight ounce and max and you feel if you just want one cup you can just do the minimum. We will just fill this right to the top and then just leave it filled because my husband uses enough to use water before it kinda go stale. And then you fill it up and you put it right in the back and then you're going to open up this top piece here and there's a spot for a pad holder in here. It comes in two pad holders. One holds only one pad. This one holds two. It depends on whether you're making a small or large cup or whether you're making the single or a double cup. We're making one large cup which is this full. You will need the double pad. If you want a half of large cup you'll need the single. This does a four-ounce cup. This does either one eight-ounce or two four-ounce cups. So I'm just gonna do a four-ounce today. You put the pad in there at the pad holder and then mine came with this handy little pad container and you take one pad out. You set it down in their flush. If you don't have a flush in there it will leak so you had to make sure it's flushed and then you close this and flip down the lid. That will do. Normally you would push this button and then wait about 90 seconds for the water to heat. I've already done that so it's already red and then you put this cup underneath. Now underneath here is this little spill tray so if something does spill underneath you just pull it out dump it rinse it and you're good to go. You put the cup underneath and then if you're making one small cup or two big cups you choose which button and it has both buttons here. Since we're only making one small cup you just push the button and then all you do is wait. It really works out very quickly as you can see and it... well kind of like a froth on the top of the coffee. You can get a little closer so you can see this and you see the double stream. If you are using two cups you would put one cup under each stream and they would fill up the same time. And since we're only making a half a cup it's about done now. You will see it's the last drips are going in. This you can see how it's actually nice and frothy. It's not like out of a regular coffee pot and you can see the buttons here. This is blinking. It will blink for about 30-60 seconds after you make a cup of coffee while it reheats some more water for the next cup. And there's the one-cup button and the two-cup button and then you have the reservoir on the back. Now like I said I received this as a gift and I don't actually think I would have purchased it. I'm not a good coffee drinker. I'm a tea drinker but my husband does drink a cup of coffee occasionally and that's why we actually received it because they know that I don't drink coffee. He loves it. He likes that he can just make a single cup whenever he wants and he does not have to worry about it. They do now have an offering of tea pads for it which you just have to run it once without a pad and rid it all to get the coffee taste out and then you can run tea through. You can also just run it without a pad at all and just get a cup of hot water that you can mix hot chocolate into. So there really are many ways you can use it. I do believe that it does retails for about $70.00 at Target and Wal-Mart. I'm not exactly sure on the price because I didn't purchase mine. I received it as a gift but they do have them everywhere I've looked just to see about how much was on it if you have the more complex models. But overall it's a good product. If you like a cup of coffee here and there once in a while not great if you drink more than it takes you cups of coffee a day because it will make more sense to buy the full-sized coffee pot and just make a full pot. But if you're just an occasional coffee drinker it is a very good product. The results are kind of expensive there about $5.00 for 12-16 depending on the bland but overall it is a really good product and I would recommend it.
