I had my procedure done in 2003. The first thing I would suggest is to make sure you are going to a good and reputable place for the surgery. Also be familiar with your doctor and his/her experience with the surgery. How long have they been doing the procedure? Know the risks but try not to be too terrified because there will be a long list but they are minimal. Any surgery comes with risks. I am very happy I had the eye surgery. There was no pain during or after the procedure. During the surgery, there was some light pressure applied to my eyes but that was it. It is a same-day surgery that only took about 10 minutes to perform. Although I was very pleased, I don't want to encourage or discourage Lasik Eye Surgery. Again, what I would encourage is be familiar with the procedure, doctor and risks!
