I would like to talk a little about the Sony ICF CD 843V Dream Machine Clock Radio. Now, this isn't your ordinary alarm clock. What sets it apart from others are its numerous features. You'll first notice its sleek design. Not only does it look good, but the sound is excellent, especially with its base boost enabled. You can adjust the brightness at the touch of one button and you also have six radio presets for each radio band. Now, the radio will receive AM, FM, TV and weather band. Now, probably my favorite part of this radio is the ability to use its sleep function. All you do is select whether you want to listen to the CD -- or the radio. Then you press the sleep button. You can choose from 90 minutes, 60 minutes, 30 minutes, 15 minutes -- and after those minutes have elapsed, the radio will shut off on its own. I also like the nap feature button, which allows you to take a nap for 10 minutes, 20, 30, all the way up to 120 minutes. What happens is, the alarm will go off after the minutes that you have selected. The really only drawbacks about this CD alarm clock, the only thing that I wish that Sony had included would be a battery backup, and unfortunately, there is no battery backup. But otherwise, this is a perfect radio.
