Hi my name is Mike with EXPOTV and this is my review of the camcorder the Sony Handycam DCR-HC 48 and I happen to get this for Christmas and I love it. It's a really small compact camcorder and here's a sot of it and it's got a flip over lens where you can view what you're filming. They are on that side. I really like the -- this is the first camcorder that I've got that actually has a 2000x digital zoom and then as well its got several different features that I'll be getting to as well that it's also the first one that has the lens cap that will open and close with the flick of a button and the older ones that I had had lens caps that were detached that you'd put on. This is just a fantastic camcorder. It retails for around 300 350 although it is worth quite a bit more. My wife bought it for me and she shopped around and had some help as far as picking up a really really good one. It's got tons of features and I've been really really happy with it. And this is the box that it came in it's a nice sturdy little box and in it we have a lot of features such as the remote control which I have yet to mess with. I really like the fact that they have a DVD in here which gives you some tips on making some great videos and then it does come with some cables some fire wire some red white yellow RCA cables which are pretty handy for uploading videos and it's got a really nice variety of products and information that fairly helpful as well as a really good warranty with the product. I only had the camera for a few days but I'm extremely thrilled with everything with the camera. It's rather easy to operate. When you heard it on you just heard that ding and that just basically means that it's on and operational and then here you could look through the lens finder and see it's got a nice readout and see different things as it looks around the rim as well and it takes digital video cassettes and I would give this a five out of five stars. I'll definitely go out and get it at the first oportunity you can if you're in the market for a camcorder. Once again this is Mike with EXPOTV for the Sony DCR-HC48 Camcorder.
