Nice camera for the beginner but not so much for some one who is looking at doing moderate to advance video production

Pros: Built in lens cap, 40X optical zoom, Compact & light weight

Cons: Advance menu optoion, Battery life, Removing the hard drive all together

Decent video camera for the beginner to intermediate use that uses a Windows base computer to store and edit videos on. Good camera to have on family vacations such as Disney World or the Grand Canyon if you plane on buying extra batteries. The battery life makes this camera more suitable for occasions where you wouldn't be away from the charger for long periods of time. The zoom is excellent and the macro feature is perfect for getting close-ups of small objects such as flowers. Lost some points for not coming with MAC compatible software and for having the on-board 30 GB hard drive. Flash media is always a better option which is also available in this model via the Sony Duo.
