Hi Today I'm gonna be talking with you about this Sony Digital Handy Cam. This particular model is the DCR-TRV240 model. So if you wanna look it up that's what you're looking for. This model uses digital Aiptek Technology so it is very similar to the high tapes that were used in all older cameras but you have to buy specialized digital tapes and put them in here or cord digitally and then you can put that under a computer. The nice thing is that you can play all your high tapes on here so if you wanna watch those over on a VCR you don't need any extra equipment and you can also convert them with a little bit of work and put them digitally on your computer that way. So this camera retails for 299 dollars so about 300 dollars and I really like it I think it is a great starter camera. It has a lot of nice features it has a great zoom so it has a 700 digital zoom. But the digital zoom does get pretty washed out after you go above the optical zoom which is 25 so the optical zoom is just the lenses working in here. The digital zoom is the software actually zooming in on the picture itself. So it's get pretty greeny when you go into the digital zoom but you get plenty of optical zoom so that's not a problem. It is also really nice because this thing pops out like a lot of them do and you can spin it around see what's going on so there's a nice viewfinder right there. This thing also moves up and down. And if you just use this ____ save a lot of battery life. Probably my one complaint is that the battery life isn't very good on this but for 299 dollars I think it is a great value it's a great starter camera and if you're gonna shot in the night time it also has a night time feature right up here just click that on and it's sort of like night vision like you'd see on TV. So I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is looking for a camera and if you are in the market be sure to check out the Sony Handy cam thanks.
