I m doing a review of the Sony MDR-Ex 71 headphones. They are very very light; very very small. They come with three different sized silicon earplugs. I personally use the medium size. The actual headphones themselves are really really short. Here is the plug that goes into your audio device and the distance between the headphone that plugs into your left ear and the plug is really short; it s only about a foot and a half. The distance between where the line-in in the left and the line-in in the right as you can see is kind of far. This will go into your left ear and this will go into your right ear and it s kind of awkward having joined together right here. Also if you re going to fold them up it makes it kind of awkward. One thing that Sony did do is include a one meter long extension over the plug at a 90 angle which is kind of weird. Now I have blown out the left headphone on these speakers on these headphones I want to say three times and I ve gotten them replaced every time by Radio Shack which was nice but the sound quality is absolutely amazing on these headphones. You can t go wrong by buying these if you want excellent sound quality. They are only around $50. The $100 version which has noise canceling in it is actually worse. It has worse sound quality and you are basically buying into an idea that you are canceling out noise when all they really do is send weird frequency through the headphone. So get the Sony MDR-Ex71 if you want excellent sound quality for a good price.
