ExpoTV has thousands of reviews from people just like you!
Hey there Expo TV it's Connor again. This time I have a review of the Sony PSP the PlayStation Portable. It runs in proprietary Sony format called UMD Universal Media Disc which is a strange name because it's by no means universal. It only runs in the PSP. A disc-based portable system? Not a great idea I don't think. Luckily though you can get games on your memory stick in a pretty interesting fashion; pretty innovative that you can do that. You have to buy these Sony memory sticks though. It doesn't take SD or anything like that. It doesn't take micro SD like the Nintendo DS does. You have your L and R buttons; your D pad; this weird little analog stick that's kind of it's not very good. But for what it needs to do I guess it's good enough. You can play music watch movies play games browse the web and do all sorts of things. This is so here we go it's on. I'll let you get a look at the screen here so it boots up to this nice-looking little screen. So you can go around with the settings check out the -- first you've got your system settings You can change the nickname of it that's a nice little touch. Change the system information. For example the firmware I have 3.8m33-5 version. Firmware that's pretty important. You can change all these settings and put in a memory stick as I mentioned before for your videos music pictures all sorts of things. The screen is beautiful. One problem though is that sometimes there can be dust underneath the outside cover. That's just a real pain because you can't really do too much about it. It has a wireless radio in it so you can connect to the internet wirelessly. You can also play games with other people wirelessly. There's this little IR port up here for no reason. It has USB mini-B support. It's a really neat little thing. I got it for pretty cheap and it was a really good deal at the time. There's a headphone jack of course. So the PSP also has a Pause feature which is kind of nice. It has an Off Over here is where your memory stick goes where you have all your games; like it. supports Super Nintendo games for example. Oh yeah this spot here you put like your gear on it. There's the Mute button and Brightness. You can change brightness on the fly that's pretty good. It's a great piece of equipment. I recommend it to any serious gamer who's bored with their DS 'cause there haven't been really many good games on DS lately so. PSP God of War: Chains of Olympus is coming out soon. Buy that one to play that game. Thanks for watching

People are telling me the DS is more popular. Which one would you rather get if you were a 15 year old boy?
Are UMD's still available to buy these days to watch movies on the Sony Playstation Portable?
Does the PSP analog controller become loose after a lot of use? I heard that it can eventually fall off or sometimes break really easily.
