Hey Expo Craig here in the truck. I'm going to try to do a review for you of the TomTom. You see here TomTom ONE Third Edition. It's the 1-gigabyte version. This right here is a lifesaver simple fun easy to use. You're also able as you can see there's a little Mickey Mouse in there. With this version they've just updated the software where you are able to go through and add your own pictures and make up your own kind of stuff that makes it fun so as you are going through now. The great thing about this GPS is you never pay a service. You never have to pay for updates. It automatically does map updates when you hook it up online and it auto-corrects. It has the time what you've placed in there for you and it navigates to wherever you're going. So we're going to go ahead and navigate to a cross street in a city not too far away from here. You see it goes through the cycle of mapping you out. It tells you how long it's going to take you to get there and how far it is and it gives you a basic overall map. At any point on here you can see how many satellites this GPS is communicating with. So right now it's talking to seven. It knows that there's supposed to be three more up there somewhere that it's probably trying to track and then there's one more that it's probably not seeing or hearing anything from at all and it's not lined up with. It gives you specific coordinates as well in case you want those. It does work in a walking type format. So if you need to take the GPS with you on a walk outside the vehicle to a specific coordinate it can function like that as well. Anyways back up here okay it's showing us where we're going to go. It's got a route. It tells you what the current time and the expected time based on how fast you're traveling you are going to arrive somewhere. It tells you the specific street that you're located on. On the left hand side here it tells you the distance that you're going to make to the next direction. The GPS does come able to mount and plug in. You are able to hook it up to traffic systems; you are able to set up for antenna information to stay up with live traffic when you zoom in here. Basically I'll just give you a quick drive around with the GPS when we move so you can get a general idea of how it works. You do have volume control so you can turn it off if you don't want to hear it talk. You also have the ability to change the voices. So if you go online you'll find a lot of different voice ideas. They have there everything funny from Yoda to different dialects. You can even change languages formats; you want it in French or Spanish it will adjust all of that. The amazing thing about this thing is that it knows every street name that's out there. It knows every address that's out there. It's easy to select places to go. So as we drive here you'll see the directions change the time the distance change and it tells you "Okay this is where you're going." Now we're going to make we're going to make a different turn here. The great thing about this GPS is it auto-corrects. It figures out that "Oops you didn't go the way I was expecting you to " and it tells you to correct your current direction. One great thing about the GPS and of everything else is as you cycle through and I'll show you when we pull over here you can find places to eat. You can find a lot of "points of interest" it calls them. If you're looking for restaurants hotels ATMs amusement parks any of those type of items the GPS is able to help you locate them. Pops and bring it close again. So let's say I was looking for a point of interest here in my city. We would navigate To and select Point of Interest Point of Interest Near You so point of interest near where we are. Let's say we want to go to a restaurant and let's say we want a Dairy Queen. Dairy Queen is 1.2 miles. Is the one we want to go to in Maple Grove? It gives you all the information even phone numbers sometimes. You can get the information select it and it will navigate from where you are and tell you how to get there from where you are exactly. So if you're on the highway and you're in the mood for Dairy Queen it will take you to the nearest one. We find it amazing that while we're driving down the road you can actually see a lot of the businesses around that you've never gotten off the point of highway and you find them with this thing. One other great thing about the GPS is when you're traveling at night you have the ability to change to a night color. Now you can't really tell too much during this but you see how dim that got. This makes a really big difference when it's totally dark outside and this thing is blaring in the middle of the dashboard. It just changes everything. Change that back to day colors. Again it's excellent all around. This is one of the lowest level of TomToms available out there and we haven't had a problem. My wife and I both have one. It maintains your miles per hour to a T so you're not always looking at your speedometer. You can always tell exactly how fast you're going up here. Distances have never been wrong. It auto-corrects with maps. No issues at all. Everywhere we go we know where we are and it's just safe nice feeling to have. This is the TomTom Third Edition TomTom One the 1gig. Excellent way to go five out of five stars highly recommended would not be without it.
