Hey there Expo TV I'm TJ and I'm really excited to talk to you about Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins on the Sony PSP. This game is spectacular If you've ever had any love for Ghosts 'n Goblins this game you have to pick up. Now I know what you might be saying: Ghosts 'n Goblins is a retro game and it came out like 1987. If they just remake it in a poor way it's gonna be terrible. But this is perhaps the best remake of a retro game ever made. It uses 3D graphics but in this really good 2D style that makes everything really clear. It's really easy to see what's going on. The controls are just as tight as they would be in an arcade or on your NES. So if you're used to old versions of Ghosts 'n Goblins you're not gonna have any problem picking this up. It really captures the spirit of the original game. It has all the same quirky humor: your armor falls off when you get hit; you could turn into a frog; all you do is go around throwing swords. For those of you who probably might not be completely acquainted with this game you play as Arthur in a quest to save his girlfriend. You basically go around throwing swords at demons and stuff. There's other powers too such as fireballs; but swords are the main weapon. You go around you could only throw them straight. It's just a very very difficult action game. They did make it a little bit easier on the PSP; I'll try to show you that right now. You can actually control yourself -- oh no you can't I thought they made it so that you can control yourself in midair but this actually retains all of its retro roots. Once you make a jump you're set with that jump. This game is completely hardcore. They did include an easy mode for it so maybe if you're not as good as with the retro arcade games you might be able to beat it. I still think personally it's not easy. This game is just incredibly difficult. One thing that Capcom did though is that you can restart any level from the start without having to worry about lives. There's an infinite continuum which it doesn't really kill the challenge of the game because even if you try Level Two 200 times you might still not beat it. There's seven levels; it's a pretty short game. But $9 for Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins (that's about the going rate for this) you have to pick it up It's absolutely incredible The best retro remake of any old arcade game I could possibly think of and it's the only Ghosts 'n Goblins game to come out in the past ten years or so. So Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins five out of five great game
