Were the DVDs expensive to buy for the Samsung SC-D164 DVD Camcorder?

No, not very expensive at all. I think a 3 pack of 30 minute DVDs cost around $10.00. Another option is to save your video on the an SD card, then upload and edit it on your comnputer, and then burn it to DVD.
