Which is more fun: Modern era or World War II era?

Is Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warefare more exciting to play since its in the modern times or were the previous Call Of Duty games that were set in World War II more fun?

I honestly prefer the Modern era. You have more options available to you as far as weaponry goes. While WWII is fun, I definitely prefer the modern stuff.

Id say modern era as well because the WWII genre has been beaten to death...twice.

Well, for my I would also say modern era. COD as a series has been heavily implanted in the rooted of WWII and it was really refreshing to step into the modern time line.

I've been playing the Call of Duty 5 beta release lately, and it's set in a WW2 era. Although the gameplay is great, and provides many options of weaponry and actions, modern warfare is still more appealing to me. And for that, COD4 may out-rank COD5.
