Back to All Questions & Answers
this question has been posted and answered already but i will answer it again. No, you can only play PS2 games on the older versions of the 80GB and on any of the 60GB consoles.
Unfortunately on the 80GB- the answer is NO. The 60GB is the only model I am aware of and they no longer manufacture it.
Sadly the new gen PS3 is not backwards compatible with PS2 games. It's only possible to play PS2 games on the early 60 and 80 GB PS3 versions.
