Hello this is Kingsford Original Charcoal. About original it simply mean that this is the kind that does not have the lighter fluid added to it this is the original plain old charcoal. Actually this is the new formulation of their original charcoal. I'm going to tell you what has changed. The first thing that's different is it s used to be a 20 pound bag of charcoal and it s now an 18 pound bag of charcoal. I do think that's kind of bad that it took someway out of the bag for the same crust but most people are moving to smaller packages rather than risen the price so I can understand why they did it but I still wish it was 20 pounds. A bit change is in the briquets themselves you can zoom in on this you'll see that it has two grills on the top of each briquets. This is because they have added more surface area to each lump of charcoal in it to allow quicker lighting. I really do think that this works like a has claim does not reason above this but it really did help my charcoal to get ignited faster. I have a charcoal small curve going right now. But I just used this for the first time and I am so impressed that thought that I had to come tell averyone about it. That s really did a lot faster than any other charcoal I ve ever used. I like Kingsford Charcoal because it takes a long time to completely burn up it s very slow burning in on not like of other brands. And now that it has a new quicker light I do think that this is an excellent thing to have. I don t let the kinds of charcoal that has a lot of fluid added into them and anything they can do to make this ignite faster is a great thing. So try some newly reformed Kingsford Original Charcoal.
