The Kenmore 580 is a cheap, window mounted air conditoner that will not throw your energy bill into the stratosphere. It works great for cooling down my hot, hot room.

Today, I'm reviewing my air-conditioner. If I didn't have this air-conditioner, I'd probably kill myself. Because I lived in the mountains of North Carolina and it's dreadfully hot there. In fact it's thundering outside and I'm hoping that the rain will, you know, cool it down. It's probably about 90 degrees in here now. Anyways, this is my air-conditioner. If you turn it on -- right there, it's got a 'Low' and a 'High', so you can get some more air output. Right now it's on 'Low'. Listen to this -- did you hear that? -- [AC noise] -- There you go. That's where you hit the sweet spot. That's cold right there. If you run this for about 15 minutes, this room is going to be very nicely cold. It's going to be ambient, it going to be fantastic. It's cooler than you would ever want it to be if you turn it all the way up. It's got this little friendly thing right here; you pull this up. I need to wash it as you can tell. But it's a nice air filter that filters out smoke, dust, mold; it's a great thing. So you pop that in there, -- close it up. And I'd recommend it to anyone. 80 bucks and it saves my life because I used to have 3 fans, they didn't cut it, they all burned out. This sucker is powered up strong for 2 years now. So check it out.
