This is a Bissell Spot Lifter. It basically is a small carpet shampooer and the way it works is that you put cleaner in this little compartment here which pulls out and then you can use the Bissell's cleaner and any other kind of cleaner that works for carpet steam machines. Then there's this little trigger here and it squirts the cleaner out the bottom on your carpet and then you use it to kind of steam your carpet. Basically it's got these little power brushes under here and it sweeps all the yucky stuff into this little barrel here. Then you clean up this barrel when you're done. Now one of the things I don't like about it is this is the cord. Now I don't know anybody who needs this long of a cord in their house. It's almost like you only have one outlet in your whole house and most people have more outlets that they don't need a cord this long. Another thing that is this is the second Bissell we had to get. Our first one for some reason the trigger didn't work it didn't squirt stuff out like it's supposed to so that's another little warning here for you. Basically it's got this on switch and then you just hit the trigger and it squirts out the cleaner. This second Bissell machine we've gotten works great. It totally got all the spot out of our floor spots that we couldn't get out with Resolve Carbon Cleaner. We definitely needed the steam machine or else we would have had to call an actual carpet cleaner. So if you're looking for an inexpensive way to clean just a few spots out of your carpet I definitely recommend this Bissell Spot Lifter. Just keep in mind that it's got a really long cord and that if your trigger isn't working if it's not squirting out just call them and they'll send you a new one. That's my review. Thanks
