Hi Expo TV my name is Eric and today I m going to be reviewing the Dyson DC18 Slim. This is one of a -- it s a fabulous unit. I just did a review about a year ago on a Bissell and this one blows it away. Brand new vacuum and this one comes in and just picks up everything else that the other vacuum didn t. I haven t figured out what exactly has made this vacuum so phenomenal and how it can do it. I mean it says it doesn t lose suction but I ve never had a vacuum that s never lost suction. So it s just the technology I guess that s built into the vacuum chamber and how the head actually goes for areas and allows it to be unhindered in sucking things up. So we re gonna go over this vacuum in detail and explain all the great features about this thing. First one is I think it s about a 30-foot cord typical of a Dyson Slim. You flip down the back part right here it releases the entire length of the cord. The vacuum stands up on its own. When you need to start up the unit you push the red contraption back down and it releases and you fix up the wheels and it allows you to continue on. Now this one almost allows you to go 180 I would say it s 150 degrees. It allows you to get under most of your tables and your chairs goes pretty well it s great okay? Another thing it s got the ball technology; so with a twist in one hand you can make it go right make it go left. So this is it makes you go back and forth a lot easier going into your turns and going around your furniture instead of those ones that have a fixed head which you have to struggle to maintain to try to get it to turn on your own. Another neat feature on this unit is how you clean it up. Now this on the head simple two screws and your entire bristle brush on the bottom falls out and allows you to pull off anything that s stuck in there It s got a safety feature that if you suck up anything and it kind of jams the motor a little bit or the brush it will set the brush off immediately as a safety precaution. So if you vacuum around sneakers and stuff don t worry about it because as soon as it gets sucked up it will shut itself off. Now another thing on this unit is the extendable wand. It s a different type of feature here; slide up your extension part and your whole top pops off. Now this goes about 15 to 18 feet long and it stretches out fully. Then you can fit your contraptions your brush handles and stuff like that on the edge and do what you need to do. Vacuum light the unit isn t top heavy that it falls down. When you re done with it obviously you drop your unit back in. This slides down puts the hose in the back at once; you don t have this big clunky hose hanging off popping off at times. It s got two brush attachments and this one is a dual-cap unit that slides in. Now another feature here is these two buttons. One s the power button and the other one shuts your bristle off so that you can go on hardwood floors your linoleum and stuff like that. We re going to put this unit to the test so you can hear it. It is a quiet unit compared to other units that I have owned. It doesn t produce a vast amount of heat either so you re not sweating when trying to vacuum your house. You drop it down fix up the wheels here you go. [vacuum noise in background] When it s on linoleum you can turn off the brush shut off the brush if you want. On the top of the unit you can put the handle up and it drops the wheels to back you up. When you re in an upright position it allows you to -- you can shut that off. Another neat feature about this is the removable container that houses your debris. Now if you follow me real fast drop it in the garbage can here. You don t have to get your hand in there you don t have to deal with bags or replacements like that. Hit the button and it pops out of the bottom and you just shake off your dirt close it right back up and it pops right back in. Overall I would say this unit is absolutely a 5. Price kind out of scares a lot of people. But once you buy this vacuum I don t think you ll ever have to worry about finding another vacuum again. It comes with a great warranty; it s a five-year warranty. I have no complaints. Thank you very much enjoy
