Hi this is Patricia and my review today is on the movie Sweeney Todd. We went to see it this past weekend. I am a big fan of Tim Burton and I like when Tim Burton and Johnny Depp work together. I really enjoyed Sleepy Hollow. And I just think they do a good job together. The music was very good. The visuals are stunning even just the opening credits and titles. They're unique. Tim Burton really has a very artistic style. I enjoy seeing what he pulls out of his brain. It's very interesting. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter did a great job with the singing. She hasn't been getting the best reviews for her singing but I think she did a great job. As a matter of fact one of her songs towards the beginning was one of my favorites in the whole movie. She did a very good job. Johnny Depp of course has a band. He started out in a band before acting so I knew he could sing but was pleasantly surprised to see how well he did in the movie. They look great. London the visuals of London are amazing especially as they are coming out of the ship in the intro. Very very artistic. And I think if you're an arty person if you like Goth such things you'll really enjoy it. Of course most people will go see it if they like Tim Burton. And it is a little bit bloody gory. Just keep that in mind. There were some in the theater that I don't think realized that it was a musical and didn't realize what the subject matter was about. This is of course the whole story about revenge. Somebody's life was taken away from them and they are looking for revenge and it is done in a very bloody way. So it is stylized violence. So if you think you can take that fake looking blood it'd probably be okay but just know that there are some murders in the movie. So again Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Very enjoyable and everybody in it did a really great job. You may think you're looking at one of the Harry Potter movies. If you're a fun of those and the characters in those you'll be pleasantly surprised to see a lot of the actors from those movies. Give it a try. Thanks.
