And how appropriate for this time of year with Holloween coming for a scary movie like this. It is brought to you by Robert Demakis and Steven Spielberg. So if you know anything about those two names you know that this is gonna be pretty good because they both really great film makers. It is as you can see it is computer generated animation which is just amazing when you really think about how they created this. It is a bit of scary story. It is rated PG primarily for scary themes. I would say maybe ages six and over. My five-year-old does watch it however he is unusual in a sense that he has a really strong grasp of fantasy versus reality. What is fake and what is not. And so he watches this and doesn't get scared but I can completely see how some younger kids would get very freak out by this movie. it is about three friends DJ is your main character. Chowder is his pal over here and then the girl's name is Jenny. And they discovered this house in their neighborhood and this is Nebbercracker and he is sort of the villain in the story. And his house is this scary hunted house and what happens as the movie progresses is the house comes alive. It is a living breathing thing. And so these three have just this wild adventure with this house and Nebbercracker and sort of finding up the back story behind why that house is the way it is and why Nebbercracker is this crow chilled man. And there are a lot of voices you may recognized in this story. Kevin James does a voice Maggie Gyllenhaal does a voice Steve Buscemi. So you'll recognize the voices as you are watching the film. I would recommend it. It is really good and especially this time of year if you are looking for something scary you know a lot of the traditional scary movies are from much older teenagers or adults. They are too gory for kids. But this is like I said great for maybe the 6 to 12 year olds would enjoy the story of this Sandy animation. It has lot of bonus features on it. It has seven features at which is just like shorter little cartoon type things. It has film maker commentary. It has the art of Monster House and it has links to downloads and games that you can also play. So there are a lot of little extras. This is the full screen edition and you can get it anywhere DVDs or sold. So check it out Monster House on DVD Until next time.

The spooky shadows and eerie creaking of a rickety old house are brought to life via lush CGI in Monster House . A young boy named DJ has suspicions about the house across the street and the cranky old man (voiced by Steve Buscemi, Fargo ) who lives there. When the old man has a heart attack...
