Night Of The Comet I've been waiting for this movie on DVD for a long time. This is from 1984. This is a kind of a parody of sci-fi movies. We got Reggie and Samantha living normal younger lives. There is a big comet that is headed over the earth. They are the only two people to survive the wrath of the comet. They go to bed they wake up the next morning and come to find out they're the only two people left while really on the planet. So it seems for awhile because when the comet flew over it either turn people to dust or it turned them into zombies. And what is the first thing that you have to do to ensure your survival is of course you go shopping. Like two Valley Girls. Variety called this film Night Of Living Dead meets Valley Girls and that's pretty close. The heart of this movie is a comedy and it's pretty funny. They do come across people who are alive and meet some strange characters and this movie is a bit of a trip. It is very eighties if you are looking for a zombie movie this is exactly it. This is your usual zombies roaming eating people. Now there are some zombies in this it's not exactly like Night of the Living Dead with constantly zombies and every other frame. Zombies do make an appearance but for the most part this is parody it's a comedy. If you like cheer leaders with guns mad scientists Newton zombies. If you like Valley Girls with some machine guns now the DVD itself doesn't have much as far as much special features but hey check out the movie any way. Good transfer good sound good movie.
