How's you going? Tim reviewing The Karate Kid the movie part one. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's definitely a classic pretty much tells a story of Daniel or Daniel-san. He moves to a new--a new city and so talking about making new friends as it is but these kids always picked on him and always humiliate him so he has a hard time fitting in. He meets this girl and he kinda likes her. He's like going out whatever but these kids keep on picking on him and he meets Mr. Miyagi which is the hotel where he is staying at a motel. He is the handy man there and he know martial arts and I'm not give you with the story. Even if it is a classic movie but pretty much to see in those karate and Daniel or should I call him Danny well he asked him to teach him karate to like help him defend himself. Mr. Miyagi teaches him how to defend himself adolescence as well as don't go out looking for a fight and he has to do all these kind of tasks and that's what it mean to wax on and wax off line comes through in the karate kid. A pretty much--it's a great movie. The acting is spectacular. The story is great. It's like come you made stories It's rated PG so the right [indiscernible] [01:39] and it's good for adults and kids alike. I definitely recommend it.

Summary
John G. Avildsen not only directed Rocky , he tried remaking it over the years in a dozen different ways. One of them was this popular 1984 drama about a new kid (Ralph Macchio) in town targeted by karate-wielding bullies until he gets a new mentor: the handyman (Pat Morita) from his apartment building, who teaches him self-confidence and fighting skills. The screen partnership of Macchio's motor-mouth character and Morita's reserved father figure works well, and the script allows for the younger man to develop sympathy for the painful memories of his teacher. But the film's real engine, as with Rocky , is the fighting, and there's plenty of that. Elisabeth Shue is on board as the girl the klutzy Macchio dreams of winning. --Tom Keogh
