This review is for the Sony Noise Canceling Headphones. The model number for this is the MDRNC6, battery operated, Sony Noise Canceling Headphones. I have gotten these headphones in the last couple of weeks. They're fairly comfortable. They pinch a little bit on your head, if you have a large head. The ear pieces are foam and pretty comfortable. What I would say concerns me most about this is, while the noise is cancelled out fairly effectively, there's no hiss noise, the quality of the sound itself is not up to par. So if listening to music through my iPod, I would say that the quality of music is not nearly as good as it could be. Overall, if you were on an airplane, if you were somewhere where you just want to block out noise and watch a movie, or relax, these would be good headphones to have. But for quality or high stereo, they're only mediocre.

Shut off the outside world with MDR-NC6 noise canceling headphones. Ambient sound can be reduced over 10dB at 300Hz, which means you'll hear more music, and less plane/train/bus noise. Noise canceling headphones are great for work, traveling, or even when you're trying to sleep in a loud place....
