Hi I'm Melissa and today I'm reviewing the Graco Comfort Sport car seat. This is a convertible car seat and can be rear facing forward facing and this one cannot be used as a booster seat the other one can. This car seat was purchased as a second car seat for our family. We need one for the few times that my son rode in my husband's vehicle instead of oiur family vehicle or to be used by the grandparents when they took him for a while. It is a cheaper car seat than most out there. We only paid about $60.00 for this car seat and compared to a lot of convertible car seat that is very cheap. It does rear face up to 30 pounds and forward face up to 40 and because you can't use it as a booster seat this probably is not going to see you through the years your child has been in the car seat but it is very good for starting out car seat. We did not use it for my son when he first came home from the hospital using an infant blanket but by the time he was two months old he had used this car seat a few times and rear facing which is very easy. You install it in rear facing and follow the instructions on the owner's manual. It's a little difficult to get into the right angle but one of the nice things about this car seat is it does have this little roller ball here which when it's in a green it tells you that it's installed correctly. It also has a cup holder for when your child older. So once it's installed rear facing which if you have latch in your vehicle it's very easy to do. It just latches the lower anchor and header system. It's in all 2000 in newer cars and then some that were manufactured before 2000 and you just basically hook these straps in to there. Push the car seat down and pull the strap tight. Now once you got it in rear facing you just have to make sure that that ball is in the right angle and we actually need a towel to install this correctly at the right angle. This has just a few features to it. It's not a very pricey car seat so you don't get a lot of the extras with it. It does have the five-point harness which I believe is the standard now for car seats and it does adjust very easily. All you do to loosen the car seat is pull here and you get extra length and then pull this strap here tighten them back down. It has the chest clip that hooks and the straps that connect into the leg strap here. It doesn't have much padding to it. It's very basic. It does have some in the seat area but not much in the back and the sides so if you're gonna use it a lot your child maybe uncomfortable. My son doesn't seem to mind but he doesn't ride in it vey often either. One problem with this car seat is that the sides don't stay down so my son's always pulling that off and picking up the stuff underneath. They need to make some kind of clip or something that holds them down better but it is a very easy car seat to install with the seat belts if you don't have the latch and it is rated very high seat to rise and my son does not seem to mind riding it at all. It's a perfect car seat for our second vehicle. Something that's not gonna be used all the time but you also need something safe but don't wanna spend a ton of money. Again if you're looking for something that's gonna last up into like a booster something like that you need a different car seat 'cause this one is not to be able to use as a booster seat but it really is a good car seat just to start out with and if you're in a tight budget it worth real low so let me get my son and we'll show you just how easy it is to get your child safely secured in this car seat. Okay this is Zachary and he's gonna help me show you just how easy it is to get your child securely strap into this car seat. You just pull the strap around each arm and I clip the chest connector first and then on each side there's a part of the buckle strap it in make sure it's secure and then snap this one in and make sure its secure. As you can see there's a lot of slack in this you don't want them to just slack it on so you pull it and then you continue to make sure that you got all the slack out of points and thread them and place them securely. As you can see he's in there all nice and secure and he doesn't like being strapped into this let's remove them. So I think we'll let him back out again. You just release the buckle and pinch the clasp here and open it up and it's just that easy for them to slide out. Like I said this is a good you know start it out car seat or a mid model car seat. It's not gonna be great. It's not gonna last a long time but it is something good as a secondary car seat when your child is young so overall I would highly recommend this car seat. Thank you.

When your baby grows too big for his infant seat, but is too small to face forward, this "in between" car seat is just right. The American Academy of Pediatricians recommends your child ride rear-facing as long as comfortably possible - at least until 20 lbs. AND one year of age. The ComfortSport...
