My name is Dan from Salt Lake City, Utah. Today I'll be reviewing a popular Internet multiplayer game called Guild Wars. Guild Wars produced by NCsoft, is one of the most popular, massively multiplayer, online, role-playing games being produced and played on the Internet right now. 00:00:20 Unlike most massively multiplayer, online, role-playing games, Guild Wars features no monthly subscription fee. Outside the cost of the product itself, you are unrestricted to the amount of play that you can play in their virtual and online world. 00:00:40 Guild Wars is based in a mythical and fantasy world called Tyria. And the story develops as most classic games do, in the epic battle between good and evil. As a character within Guild Wars, you can choose among various races, such as Warriors, Mesmers, Elementalists, Monks, Rangers, and even Necromancers. 00:01:06 Each of these characters have a different feature, different attributes and different skills that you can collect and mark and unleash on your opponents, and as well as on your enemies. Guild Wars cost about $40 for a retail version. But it's also available through the manufacturer's website. 00:01:24 Now, each boxed version comes with one license agreement and one user account. Each user account can create up to four different players. And as you can see here, in our household we have two copies so that we can play on the Internet at the same time. But the most appealing thing about Guild wars and all online, multiplayer games, is being able to immerse yourself in a world full of other players. 00:01:50 As we log into the game, we're instantly transported into a vast world where you can explore with your character and defeat opponents, go on missions, and unravel the storyline behind Guild Wars. Guild Wars features a unique system of play that allows you to immerse yourself in a totally 3-dimensional environment and interact with other people on the Internet, chatting and trading and even fighting them if you wish. 00:02:24 Like any great role-playing game, you can collect different items and as well as different armor and weapons for your character. You can also develop special skills for each of your characters, and also equip them with different attributes. As you customize your character you'll be able to venture out into the world using these skills and attributes to uniquely define your character in his combat and his profession. 00:02:48 In this case, his or her, as well. Guild Wars in my opinion offers hours of endless play and with its free Internet play you won't break your bank doing so either.
