Guitar hero is a rhythm game following in the footsteps of Parappa the Rappa, Gitaroo man, and even stuff like DDR. Cover bands (which sound very accurate except on 1 or 2 tracks) provide a selection of songs randing from Black Sabbath's Ironman to Franz Ferdinand's Take me Out. Other highlights include Queens of the Stone Age, Queen, Bad Religion, Cream, Blue Oyster Clut, and the Edgar Winters Group. The design of the game is great, offering a bunch of funny venus to play in as well as lots of characters to use (even Death himself). The new games coming out in a few months will use the same controller and are expected to have more characters, more songs, more venues and other additions like the ability to play bass and stuff. SO AWESOME GET GUITAR HERO NOW I CAN TELL YOU ENOUGH. A++++ WOULD ROCK OUT AGAIN

Today I'm reviewing Guitar Hero for PS2. It's a music game. It features covers of real songs by -- really talented individuals that make it sound actually correct. And what you do is you use the colored buttons up on the top to hit, match the color and then as the note hits the bottom, you have to strum the strum bar just like a real guitar. It features cords. It features bass notes such as hammerons and pulloffs that you learn about in the tutorial when you buy the game. It's an excellent game. It features lots of different songs. It's got good replayability cause you can play it on different difficulty modes, which add more speed and more notes. Right now I'm playing it on hard, which is the next to last difficulty. You can rotate it by tilting the guitar, which doubles your score and helps you heal faster. As you can see in the bottom, you've got a little thing telling you how hard you're rocking. You know what, if you don't rock hard, you can't play this game. So, sorry, you've to rock hard. Turn this video off right now. You might as well just not even bother.

Which song do you think was the hardest song to beat (on medium or hard mode?) For me it was Audioslave's Cochise...I swear it was nearly impossible to get down on even medium!!!
