Hi. Today I'm going to be reviewing the PlayStation 2 Game Kingdom Hearts 1. As you may know, Kingdom Hearts 2 has recently been released so I sort of picked up the first one to see what the buzz was all about. At first I was a little bit skeptical about a Disney based RPG game; but actually to my surprise, it turned out really well. In the game you basically play a young boy who travels through different Disney Worlds, like Aladdin, Little Mermaid, interact with different Disney characters like Donald Duck and Goofy. As you look for your friends on your journey, what's really great about the game is a lot of Final Fantasy characters from Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and X also make surprise cameos in this game. This game was released about four years ago, but the graphics are surprisingly good, and still hold up and are comparable with the graphics of today's PlayStation 2 games. The sound quality is great, and what I like about this game is a lot of the Disney characters in the game are voiced by their original voice actors from the original Disney cartoons. The game is considered an action RPG, so there are some RPG elements to it; but it's actually a lot simpler than that. It's more of a button-mashing game. You can get by through the entire game just hitting one button over and over. So it is actually pretty easy to pickup, you just pickup and play. It's a lot of simplicity to it, but actually there is a lot of replay value to it too. There are a lot of hidden secrets to be found, and so you can play it over several times. One of the greatest parts about this game is the story line of the game, and because it connects directly into Kingdom Hearts 2. If you are at all interested in the second game, I'd definitely suggest you pickup the first one first, and see what it's all about.
