Today we're reviewing Super Mario Sunshine. This is the first Mario game to come out on the Nintendo GameCube -- the first official new Mario game since Mario 64. It kept sort of the same style of game play of Mario 64, only this time you had a water jet pack, which, you know, kind of -- it made the game interesting. But, at the same time at no point did I feel like it was a Mario game. Granted, it's still fun to play, but at no real point do you really feel like you're playing Mario because -- I mean he's in a new world, he's doing lots of different things than in the normal Mario game. They're being innovative, but at the same time I felt like that it strayed a little bit too far away from the series to stay true to Mario. Also, the story in this one is kind of weird. I won't give it away for those of you who are dying to play and find out, but I highly recommend it. It's still a great game. It's definitely worth playing through at least once.

Super Mario Sunshine is a 3D adventure game starring the world’s most famous video game mascot. The game takes place on a large island that is filled with tons of surprises.

Summary

Play as Mario and use your water cannon to clean the graffiti and fight back against angry villagers
Climb walls, run across rooftops, and jump like never before as you wash off the scribbles on walls, floors and even the ground
Explore the massive island setting, completing tasks, and getting clues
Collect the gold coins and new Sunshine Coins to finish the level and build up the points you need to unlock new levels
Then get to the bottom of the mystery and find out who's been impersonating Mario!
