Hi, my name is Nate and today I'll be reviewing Ford Racing 3, for the PlayStation 2 console by 2K Games and Empire Interactive and obviously Ford by the fact that only their vehicles are in it. Graphically, the game is all right. It's kind of like a swooped up version on the old Need for Speed games on the PlayStation 1. The graphics are nice for the background scenery. But it's certainly nothing spectacular. The vehicles look really nice, so, even if they move kind of sluggishly. Sound is really forgettable. I don't -- other than the basic engines sounds you're not going to find anything in here. But it is a budget title and it's really kind of meant to be that way. So, your expectations really shouldn't be for the next Grand Turismo game. Game play was actually pretty fine. It does go back to kind of those arcade Need for Speed racers that where out on the original PlayStation console, just with little bit better graphics. If you're not looking for a game where you have to earn your license or on different cars with a lot of hard work, it's actually a great game. There is a lot of unlockables. When it gets to the price, it's really decent. I mean I picked up my copy for 10 bucks. I've never seen it above 15 or 20 bucks. If you're looking for a nice time waster you are not a real serious arcade or sim racer, and you just want something to blow some time over the weekends with, I definitely would recommend it. But again, there are other options out there that are lot better. Burnout is budget price. Now, if you are looking for a real arcade racer and Grand Turismo is out for 20 as well. If you're looking for the same, it kind of falls in between, I mean. But it's a fun little time waster. Ford Racing 3 for the PS2.

This game makes you a driver on the Ford Racing team, on which you'll compete against... well, other Fords. There are more than 15 different models to choose from, including Ford mainstays Mustang and Taurus, as well as a few concept cars. All of these race-tuned show-roomers are acutely modeled after the designs of their real-world counterparts, so that you can think of the game almost as a series of test drives, without the annoying salesmen or speed limits.
