Hey Brandon again. Today I'm gonna review my new car. My wife doesn't like it so much but I love it. I have a new Chrysler 19 -- 19 no 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Touring All-Wheel Drive. I really like the car. I had once a Nissan Extera which my wife thought was cool and tough. To describe the Pacifica I mean quite frankly she says it looks like it stepped on SUV too flat too long. I disagree. I think it has a very nice styling outside and inside. It's much more comfortable. It's got a lot of great amenities and let's go out and I'll show it to you. All right this is the car the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. It's gold in color. One of the new features for this year versus the previous years as you can see is they took a page from the Chrysler Crossfire and they put the kind of scalloped lines into the hood. My wife thinks it's ugly. I think it looks really sharp. The front grille is very nice. The lights are nice. It's a good looking car all around. It looks like to me like a Lexus or a more luxurious brand although the Chrysler can be luxurious as well of car. It is again the All-Wheel Drive Edition Pacifica Touring. It is again all-wheel drive. Some of the cool things that go with this car let me show you. It does not have the cool thing that the Nissan had which was you don't even need to use the key. You just put it near into your car and it works. What it does have is it has the key and the operator kind of together in one so you don't have to carry around a little remote to open your doors or to open your trunk. This thing has the double push button to open the trunk. You just push it twice and it automatically opens power lift which is nice. It seats six. It's got three rows of seats as you can see two back here. I have a baby seat in there 'coz of my daughter two in the way back my son likes to eat pretzels apparently and then two in the front. Some of the other cool features of this car include a navigation system as you'll see here. Let's get that bad boy going and of course it is limited when you're moving but I'm not moving right now so I can use my navigation system. It's a DVD-based navigation system so the DVD has to be in for the navigation to work and as you can see hopefully it shows where I am. I won't use it too much; you don't wanna see where I live. It's got dual climate zone. It's got auto stick which is really cool. It's got a six DVD changer to go with the DVD player which is up there. You can hardly see it from there. It has MP3 capability. It's got output-input jacks so you can plug in your MP3 player direct. You don't have to use a wireless transmitter which sounds terrible. It's got multiple modes AM in the stereo FM of course -- excuse me -- the external which is the DVD or your input jacks. This one has a Sirius radio. It's got a seven-speaker system. It's got not only dual front airbags. It's got side curtain airbags. It's got a five-star rating for safety so a very safe car. A very roomy car. The leather seats are very comfortable next to the Exteras that I had which were not as comfortable oops. The dash is kind of soft and molded. It's not that hard plastic thing so it gives it a little bit more luxurious feel. It's got some nice little touches like wood trim or simulated wood trim the analog clock which kinda makes it look a little bit more timeless and classy. All in all I really like this car whether my wife likes it or not. I would have to say that this car is to me a pretty big upgrade from the Nissan Extera. The Nissan Extera is a more rugged car obviously. This one has all-wheel drive. It's got a good sound system. It's got really comfortable seats. It's got all the amenities that I like. It's got the backup camera. It's got the navigation system and I like you know I get lost a lot 'coz I'm a guy and I don't like to ask for directions so I don't have to. I just have to ask my car for directions. The interface for the navigation system is a little bit awkward. It's to the right of the steering column and you know it's not the easiest thing to get to but it's not hard either. While you're driving you shouldn't be messing with it anyway. What I don't like about where it is is if you're driving and you wanna do some things the passenger doesn't have access to it so maybe they can punch something in. The navigation system again is cool. It's right where the speedometer is so you don't have to look to the right like in many cars where there's a big screen here you don't have to look to the right. You just look right where you'd normally be looking down slightly to see where you're going. I think that's a great feature. It does have the little computer that I like so much which tells you you know compass. It tells you how many miles per gallon you're getting on average. This one's saying 20.4 which is not bad for such a large car 206 miles to empty 2533 miles to next service. So what I like about it more than anything are the amenities and the features that it comes with. I like the comfort. I like the luxury. You know as you get a little bit older you don't wanna ride in something that's uncomfortable anymore. You wanna be comfortable. Yes it's lower to the ground than an SUV but it handles really well. It's got good acceleration and let's take a look at the engine. It's kind of strange looking. All right the engine is fully encased in this big plastic thing. You've got your four liter 2.4 valve engine a big battery over here and I'm not the most technical person. Your air filter is housed there. You've got your fuses over here. Again it doesn't really look like an engine. It looks like a big battery to me. It's not. It does use gas and quite a bit of it. The one thing that I think kind of made me a little disappointed and what kind of seemed cheap to me was you know it's minimal the -- where you fill your gas the little gas storer is plastic. They can't even make it metal to match the car? I guess that's what it is but overall I like the style of the car. I like the way it looks. I love the way it rides. It has good power. It's comfortable and I give it a thumbs up. I suggest that if you're looking at a crossover car the great thing about this car to me was I bought it this year but with a few thousand miles on it and unfortunately for Chrysler and other American cars the resale value of an American car versus a Japanese car like my wife wanted me to get the Nissan Murano is not anywhere near as high so I could buy this car with a lot more amenities much cheaper than I could a Murano with less amenities. So even new the deal the price for this car is about $36 000. I bought it used from a dealership with 15 000 miles for $25 000 with taxes and everything so quite a bit of a discount. So if you're looking for a car that's maybe a year old or less than a year old this model year with a few thousand miles on it going American is a great idea. The warranty isn't great. It's only a three-year warranty but I have purchased the extended warranty and that's always a good option too. So if you're looking for a crossover vehicle consider the Chrysler Pacifica Touring Edition All-Wheel Drive.
