Hi I'm Chris. This is a review of the Magellan Maestro portable GPS unit. As you can see the Maestro is very small very compact. There's a 2.2-inch screen that's a touch screen on it. It's very sensitive; you can touch just about anywhere and it will react to it. It has a very loud voice when it gives turn-by-turn directions. What I like best about it is it has (see as you can see it's very loud) it has a very intuitive interface. You basically don't even have to read the directions when you're doing this. You can do addresses by city by zip code. Or if you've been to a city before you can do previous city . If you missed a direction it reroutes very quickly. The retail on this is over $200; but it can usually be found for less than that. Around $150 is a good price to pay for this unit; anything under that is a great price. It comes with a car charger and a windshield mount and a USB interface. The downside of this product is that it only has 750 000 points of interest. Generally if you'd like to have a few more points of interest over a million is better. So there are a few things missing; like campgrounds and beaches and that sort of thing are missing from this. But generally it has everything you would need on a day-to-day basis; gas stations grocery stores that sort of thing. If you miss a turn the rerouting is very quick. This has the SiRFstarIII chipset which is the better chipset. It also has NAVTEQ maps which is the better series of maps better than TOPO maps. So for an entry-level GPS around $150; the Magellan Maestro 3100 GPS is an excellent buy. Thanks
