Hi This is Dan with a review of the Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS navigation system. I think it's a great uh GPS. Let's turn it on here. I'll show you some of it's cool features. Um this GPS system is middle of the line in the newest 4000 series that they've released. Uh it is notably pricier than it's cheapest budget brother. Um it runs about $400. Uh but does contain full map systems of the United States Canada and Puerto Rico and also has added a 4.5 million points of interest. Speaking of points of interest let's take a look at the points of interest by clicking menu. We can take a look at um let's cancel out what we're looking at here currently but we can search by category and we have like gas stations coffee restaurant shopping and airports banks ATMs camping casino. Let's say I wanted to go to a casino base of--of where I am right now. So we just click on near current position. Notice this touch screen. 4.3-inched touch screen very nice full color. Let's see. Mystic Lake Casino 67 miles from my current location. Alright let's take a drive out there. We can add that and turn that into our current row. Uh let's click on Mystic Lake here. We'll calculate the row and walah You see this is pretty quick and uh it's pretty robust. We'll have a uh step-by-step voice guided um basically uh voice-guided interface all the way from our current position to our destination. Another cool thing about this um is that it will also read text speech meaning that if you give it a street name it will also tell you to turn left in actual street name like for example Johnson Road. Uh that's a big perk in my opinion as it helps you when you really don't have the opportunity while you're driving to read the next you know street name you try to turn now. So um it will tell you what you're looking for and when and it's a great GPS. Uh also has uh upgrade features of having voice commands so that you can tell it what to do. That's uh $400 extra available at Magellan' s website and also the feature of getting a traffic module so that you can over the air traffic updates to your GPS to help you reroute around problem areas. Uh I give this five out of five stars and the pricey--price tag. This is a great GPS system I would highly recommend it. This is Dan in review of the Magellan Maestro 4040.
