Tonight I'm going to review Garmin Nuvi 200 a GPS device. If you ever not watched my TomTom review on another GPS device be sure to watch that but tonight I'm just basically go over couple of features this thing I like and something's I dislike about this device. First of all I would like to A plus rating to the Mac system. I assume you might already know Garmin is using a different mapping system than the TomTom brand. It's for router this is actually more accurate. It is very very easy to navigate. This is about the size of this device. It's a touch screen. It's about that thick. On the back there is the USB port and plugging which came with this device. It also came with a [0:01:02.400] as well. What's lacking is actually a USB cable. And I wish they have the canvass of this device. And what is nice about this device is it also has a SD memory card slot. That we could plug in and have not personally tested this out yet but according to the manual book. You could actually have picture and if you store extra map and with the memory card and you stick in here you will function well. I'll test the device about two weeks now. Driving around in town and out town as well in the highway and oh I would like to give this device four out of five rating. There's an ups and down about this device. First of all I would go on a couple of things I like about this. It's easy to navigate. It's very loud so you won't have any problem in hearing this device. It has the feature of a problem like pretty much every GPS in the market like point of interest with the gas stations is. Where the restaurants are so first you on and it's very easy to find places on this. All you have to do is type the addressing or find the intersections on where you want to go. If you don't know the place where to go you could also search the sea and the map is only before the U States I mean United States. So compared to TomTom the lacking of the map of the Canada however like I said the map systems are very well updated. It is a 2008 version. So if you go to Wilmar or you go to Amazon dot com or any electric store like Best Buy or Circle City make sure they have the latest map in this device because some of this same brand name does not have the most updated maps. They have the 2007 version which means you got to spend another extra 50 to 60 dollar to give that an upgrade. So be sure that when you purchase this product ask the people there does this have the latest to mapping? Examine this device. Now I would like to go for a couple of things. I wish this thing have could improve long. Like I said this is just a basically GPS system. It's not a fancy kind like a place MP3 or Ipod or etcetera etcetera. It is just a system basically get you from point A to point B. What I like to add this feature to this device is the fact that you can actually give you more detail instructions when you have to turn because I miss a couple of turns with this GPS. When I have been to big city only one with these trees all over the place and I got very confused on that actually but I found my way to give a warning and by using this GPS system. So if this device can actually give more instruction such as turn left on such a street name. That would be great. And if it can actually display more detail the street before you head to the where you suppose to turn that will be great too. So that was something that is lacking than TomTom has come on shine it's way is because TomTom actually shows the street name as you drive very close to it and this device does not only showing the street that's kind like a big intersection or if it is maybe a small street that everybody is familiar with. And it's not a device that picks as the best router. I found out that this couple of router it picks actually when not to be what I would say a convenience route to get to the place in town. If this thing has all the map storage where you can storage the new route in this device that will also be cool as well but like I said nothing is perfect. TomTom is not perfect because it does not have my house in the map system. Also another thing features I don't like about it is the time. It only shows the destiny the arrival time about approximately what time you actually arrived only location you want to go but it does not show the actual time on the same screen. So you have to switch up to back to the menu and actually see the time so I wish it can have one. A custom setting where it can set the both time zone there so like TomTom so you can watch them as you are drive. Also it has a speed time. Then you see how fast you are driving and it also have the switch to another window where TomTom display at the same screen down there. So overall like I said this is a basic GPS system if you want to just get the phone point A to point B have yourself grab there. Go get it. Go buy it and you will absolute love it.
