My name is Rich Feazle and I will now be reviewing the Asus F3Ka-A1 laptop. This is a laptop I purchased to replace a Compaq Presario I had. The main reason I purchased it is because it was a lot smaller than my previous laptop and you know it was a lot lighter than it as well. This is a pretty powerful laptop. It is running the Turion 64 X2 2 GB processor. I have 2 GB of RAM in this. It makes it excellent for Photoshop video editing anything like that. I changed the operating system on it. I'm running Media Center the Media Center Edition 2000 of Windows and it works out pretty well. Some of the cool features on this laptop: the little webcam with microphone built in up here so you can do online chatting the video chatting without having to have an extra microphone. It does have a DVD burner on here. Also this down here is pretty cool. You can have the laptop powered off and still play CDs. These buttons down here it has the skip buttons the stop play pause. That's a pretty cool little feature. If you don't want to use up a lot of battery power you can just go ahead and pop the CD in kick it on and away you go. I do have a couple of gripes about it the first one being that the case is not very sturdy and as you can see here I broke a couple of those little plastic vent things off. I've also cracked the case in a couple of different places here and I don't know I'm not too rough with the laptops so I'm guessing it's just weak plastic I really don't know. The battery life on this when I got it usually it was great and I'd say it lasted about a year and now the battery is pretty much useless. But you're gonna have that with all laptops so that's not really a drawback on this system. But this is definitely -- this laptop's my baby. I use it daily many many hours a day and it served me well so far so there's not really much I can say bad about it. It is a really great piece of equipment especially for the price I paid for it. So if you're gonna get a laptop I would definitely recommend the Asus laptops. They run a little bit more but you know you're gonna get a quality piece of equipment. Thank you.
